I kept pushing the old one to its limits, but it just couldn’t keep up anymore, so I finally decided it was time for a new laptop. Initially, my preferences were pretty extravagant — I had my eyes on something over 10,000 RON, like the Asus Duo. But in the end, I completely changed direction and went for something affordable, practical, and compact enough to carry with me anywhere.
First and foremost, I realized I should focus more on generating passive income rather than doing heavy work directly on the laptop. That’s why I figured a 13-inch screen would be more than enough — especially since I can always plug in an external monitor to expand my workspace if needed. Still, I’m trying to automate as many processes as possible so I don’t have to constantly monitor everything myself.
This laptop is powerful enough for my needs, but not necessarily built to impress.
It runs on a Ryzen 7 processor from the 7000 series, has an AMD Radeon graphics card, and its size and weight made me fall in love with it at first sight. It only has 16 GB of RAM — which some might say isn’t much — but for the fairly simple tasks I do, I don’t think I’ll need any more than that.
Considering that my passive income is steadily increasing, I figured I’ll probably be traveling more in the future. In that case, portability, size, and weight matter more than the raw performance of a top-tier i7 processor.
I haven’t tested it fully yet, but I also plan to use its built-in camera and decent processing power to record YouTube videos directly on it — no need for a separate PC and capture card anymore. That would give me even more freedom when it comes to my investment channel, where I’m currently still tied to my office setup for recording content.
